The brief

This flagship urban road project involves upgrading approximately 2.5 kilometres of a critical connector road in Makindye Division, Kampala. The scope includes full pavement reconstruction with asphalt wearing course, reinforced concrete drainage channels, street lighting, pedestrian walkways, and road signage. A major challenge was the presence of existing utility lines (water, power, telecommunications) requiring careful relocation in coordination with multiple utility agencies.

Scope of Work
  • 2.5 km asphalt pavement
  • Reinforced concrete drainage channels
  • Street lighting
  • Pedestrian walkways
  • Utility relocation
Location
Makindye, Kampala

Our team implemented a phased construction approach to maintain partial access for residents and businesses throughout the works. Upon completion, this road will significantly reduce travel time, improve drainage and reduce flooding, and enhance safety for both motorists and pedestrians.

The project is being executed under strict KCCA quality assurance protocols, with regular material testing and independent supervision.
