The brief

This refurbishment project involved a complete overhaul of electrical and mechanical systems in a government laboratory facility. Works included stripping out obsolete wiring, installing new copper conductors, LED lighting, distribution boards, and emergency lighting. The mechanical scope comprised new extractor fans, air conditioning units for sensitive equipment rooms, and a fire alarm system. A key challenge was maintaining partial operation of the laboratory during refurbishment; we phased the works by zone, working evenings and weekends where necessary.

The project was completed on time and within budget, and the upgraded facilities have significantly improved working conditions for DGSM staff.
