The brief
This community-focused project aimed to boost local trade in a previously underserved area of northern Uganda. The works included construction of 50 lockable market stalls arranged in a linear layout, each measuring 3m x 3m with concrete floors, metal doors, and secure locking systems.
Additional facilities included a communal water point with a hand pump, two ventilated pit latrines, a waste collection area, and a small office for market management.

Location
Our team mobilized equipment and materials to a remote location with limited road access, requiring careful logistics planning. The project was completed during the dry season to avoid weather-related delays. Since handover, the market has become a vibrant economic hub, benefiting over 300 local vendors and improving food security and income generation in the sub-county.
