The brief

Phase 1 of this mixed-use development comprised a two-storey commercial block with retail space on the ground floor and office space above, plus a separate residential wing with six two-bedroom apartments. The structure is reinforced concrete with brick infill. Our team executed the project in a dense residential-commercial neighbourhood, managing noise, dust, and traffic disruptions through careful scheduling and community engagement.

The project was delivered as the COVID-19 pandemic began; we implemented strict health protocols to continue work safely.

The client has since returned to us for Phase 2, a testament to our performance.

Scope of Work
  • 2-storey commercial block (retail ground, office first)
  • Residential wing (6 x 2-bed apartments)
  • Reinforced concrete frame with brick infill
  • Community engagement for noise/dust management
  • COVID-19 safety protocols
Location
Kampala District

Our team mobilized equipment and materials to a remote location with limited road access, requiring careful logistics planning. The project was completed during the dry season to avoid weather-related delays. Since handover, the market has become a vibrant economic hub, benefiting over 300 local vendors and improving food security and income generation in the sub-county.
